About
Vision
Sustainable farming and natural resources through healthy soil.
Mission
Tonkin Agriculture and Soil Consulting improves productivity, profitability and sustainability of agricultural and environmental enterprises through knowledge of the soil.
Tonkin Agriculture and Soil Consulting was established to provide the agricultural and environmental sectors with access to expertise in soil science, coupled with outstanding knowledge of farming and environmental systems. Soils are the foundation for farming, yet detailed knowledge of soils is rare. Soils are also the basis for the many and diverse environmental habitats, but are often not considered as part of an environmental plan.
Located at Woodchester, near Strathalbyn in South Australia, Tonkin Agriculture and Soil Consulting is located to easily access the prime production regions of the Fleurieu, Adelaide Hills, Northern Adelaide Plains and the cropping regions of Northern and Yorke and the SA Mallee and Upper SE. It is also conveniently located for Adelaide and its service regions.
Tonkin Agriculture and Soil Consulting can travel throughout Australia for work as required, with flexibility in working hours and timing. Travel in rural and remote areas via 4WD is not a problem. Standard soil sampling equipment is owned by the business, and specialised equipment can be hired as required.
